Haitham A. Kareem Al-Rasheed

Is a specialized practitioner in the field of International Development, Humanitarian practice work, and relief, in addition to extensive experience in the health sector with a focus on evidence-based planning and Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL).

After completing specialized training in hospital management, Haitham managed refugee medical cases in the city of Sulaymaniyah in Iraq as the Head of Office for the IOM-UNHCR Joint Repatriation Program, developing a medical program to deal with the most vulnerable patients, and coordinating medical evacuations from Iraq for treatment.
Haitham has extensive experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, through the collection, analysis, and use of information for more effective decision-making, learning from history and finally accountability for resources being used. Moreover, he focused on the Monitoring and Evaluation functions under his scope assessing the relevance, effectiveness, sustainability, and impact of activities and outcomes to match the final goal of the project. SWAT analysis is one of the basic studies used to do for all projects he worked for.
Haitham’s working experience included heading of office: IOM-UNHCR Joined Repatriation Program in Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Turkey, General Manager and vice CEO: Consultancy Hospital Amman Jordan, General Manager: Visual Radiology Path (VRP) and Commercial Company in Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon
As well as Chief Operation Officer (COO): Development and Relief Foundation / Imam Al Hujah Hospital Iraq.

Additionally, Haitham’s direct field work in conflict areas with vulnerable groups including refugees, women, and children enhanced his social research skills and direct interaction with beneficiaries.
His knowledge and proficiency in many languages such as Arabic, English, German and Russian give Haitham a competitive advantage since the ability to communicate in multiple languages is becoming more and more important in the increasingly integrated global community.
